We Know the Pitfalls Because We Have Lived Them
Every experienced event planner has stories. One of ours is the kind every planner in Florida fears: one of our founders had a national event in Orlando when a hurricane came through the state on the convention's third day.
Long before the storm, when the contract was signed, they made sure the venue had a full backup generator system already in place and tested, and asked how often it was tested. It is the kind of question that seems unnecessary right up until the day it matters.
Experiences like that are why we understand how venue contracts work, and why we built that understanding into Conference and Event Management. Your venues, their rooms, the dates you have each room and how each one is set up all live with your event, so what you agreed with the venue and what you plan to use stay in step.
A few questions worth asking before you sign: What happens if the power goes out, and when was the backup last tested? What happens if fewer guests come than you expected? Which rooms are guaranteed to you, and can the venue move you? Asking up front costs nothing. Not asking can cost a great deal.
